Dunkirk/Cross Channel 2020

Dunkirk 80 Year Anniversary of Operation Dynamo 21st and 25th May 2020. The club will be making its annual cross Channel cruise in 2020 to include the 80th Dunkirk Anniversary. It will be a cruise open to all but limited by numbers on a first come first served basis While the cruise in company will be longer for those who can make it the Dunkirk part of the cruise will be probably be as follows: Depart Teddington for Ramsgate 19th May 2020 Depart Ramsgate for Dunkirk 20th May Stay Dunkirk 21st May 2020 Stay Dunkirk 22nd May 2020 Stay Dunkirk 23rd May 2020 Stay Dunkirk 24th May 2020 Stay Dunkirk 25th May 2020 Depart Dunkirk for Ramsgate 26thMay Depart Ramsgate for Teddington 27th May I am hoping that we can accommodate everybody, regardless of experience and speed etc. but the final decisions depend on safety. We have reserved 10 berths in the Yacht Club de la Mer du Nord and a dinner for 20 people at the Restaurant du Yachting Club on the Saturday 23rd May 2020. We will be sharing the Dinner with the newly formed BMYC who have also booked, being 36 places in total. I also believe that the Royal Temple have Berths booked. It is important that we get numbers for the cruise ASAP and get them registered with TMYC so that we can be part of the official support fleet. If you wish to take part please email me - Dave.afloat@ntlworld.com - or call me on 07785 762703. An initial deposit of £100 will be required, which will cover the cost of the meal and the anniversary burgee. This will be requested when your place is confirmed and will be non-refundable should you subsequently decide not to participate, unless your space can be filled by another member. If demand is over the 10 boats we may be able to increase numbers but this will depend on mooring availability and cruise leaders. Dave Rear Commodore 07785 762703
