Each year the Club gives the Commodore the opportunity to choose a charity for the proceeds of the auction.
This year Christine and I wish to nominate research into the Huntington's Condition at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford where she has already participated in some projects.
Huntingtons is an inherited condition that damages certain parts of the brain and is thought to affect 12 people per 100,000. At this time there is no cure and it cannot be reversed or slowed down.
Members may wish to contribute items for sale in the auction or maybe vouchers for events that can then be bid for.
Of course you will also contribute by coming along on the day. With our resident auctioneer, John Donovan, in charge you can be sure of a lively and fun day, the outcome from which will aid the medical researchers and consultants in their work.
Warm wishes and thank you,
