2016 Volunteers Wanted
Dear Friends
2015 has been a really good year at the Club and we've had some great times at our social functions and on our varied cruises. We now have to prepare for repeating it all (& better!) in 2016.
Delivering our functions & ensuring our cruises take place smoothly & safely only happens with the active help of members. We are lucky to have many really committed members who give so readily of their time and energy. The more members who are willing to lend a hand the easier it is for everyone so the purpose of this note is to ask you to consider putting yourself forward to help out in whatever way you can in 2016.
Tasks include:
Social functions:
Setting up – club decorations, organising tables & chairs, setting table places etc.
Taking down and clearing away at the end of a function (either on the night or the following morning)
Galley work – buying, preparing the food, cooking, serving
Running the Bonus Ball
Collecting the money at a function
Co-ordinating the running of an event on the night
Club Cruises:
Running or assisting with Club cruises - booking the moorings, booking restaurants, etc
Clubhouse:
Helping out with building maintenance & repairs
Those getting involved for the first time will be fully supported and never left on their own.
Whether you're helping out before, at or after a function you will always experience a warm welcome.
If you can reserve a few hours for your Club we would be most grateful - and you'll have some good fun too!.

Many thanks - and here's to a fantastic 2016 which is the 40th. Anniversary of the Club (it was formed in 1976) so we are planning some great things - so please play an active part in helping to deliver our programme in this special year!.
